Nay Bamboo NB-D-01 Douga Scale

Description

Nay Bamboo NB-D-01 – Douga Scale

The Nay Bamboo NB-D-01 is a handcrafted traditional Middle Eastern flute, designed with nine tied sections that highlight its authenticity and durability. Made from carefully selected natural bamboo, this nay produces a warm, resonant, and earthy tone that is highly expressive. Its design follows the classic structure of the nay, with a cylindrical body and six finger holes in the front plus one thumb hole at the back, allowing for a wide range of notes and dynamic ornamentations.

Tuned to the Douga scale, the NB-D-01 delivers the characteristic oriental sound deeply rooted in Arabic, Turkish, and Persian music traditions. The Douga scale is known for its soulful and emotional expression, making this nay ideal for both solo performances and ensemble playing. The nine visible ties along the body not only enhance the flute’s visual appeal but also serve as reinforcements, ensuring the bamboo retains its shape and stability through different climates and playing conditions.

Lightweight yet durable, the Nay Bamboo NB-D-01 is well-suited for students, enthusiasts, and professional players seeking a traditional instrument that balances playability with authentic tonal richness. Each instrument is unique, reflecting the natural variations of bamboo, and offers players a chance to connect with centuries-old musical heritage while enjoying precise intonation and a smooth response.
